About Us

History & Hosts

The property was originally built in 1930’s as a school. Later, after some reconstruction, the property hosted the North Korean Embassy in the 1970s-80s. After that, it hosted the College of Vocational Studies for a few years before the current hosts made it their residence. 

The host (Amit and his wife Shubha ) stay on the first floor having a separate entrance from the garden. The hosts are aware of the privacy needs of each guest and are invisible unless needed by the guests for any assistance.

Amit is an avid reader of science, technology and Spiritual books. His favourite books include Autobiography of a Yogi, Conversations with God etc. He has also done his Law and advises on legal and business matters related to contracts, property etc. He also has a blog by the name of www.amitparwal.com. Shubha is a home maker and an excellent guide for those needing advise on Delhi and its markets.

Airport

1. The Delhi International Airport ( Terminal 3 ) and Terminal 2 ( Domestic ) is about 18 km away (40 min by car). The cheapest way to reach us is to take an Airport Metro just outside terminal 3/2 to Shivaji Stadium Airport Metro Station. It will cost about Rs 50 per person. From the station, you can take a tuk-tuk for Rs 100 approx and reach us. The station is about 15 min walk from CP VILLA.

Railway Station

  1. New Delhi Railway Station (station code: NDLS) is about 2 km away.
  2. Hazrat Nizamuddin Station (station code : NZM) is about 10 km away.
  3. Old Delhi Railway station ( station code :DLI ) is about 7 km away.

Location and Nearby attractions.

CP VILLA is situated in a quiet and peaceful area, close to Connaught Place, a popular shopping and Business district. You can explore the variety of shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, cinemas, and cultural venues in this area. You can also visit the nearby historical and cultural attractions, such as Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory, and Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, a Sikh religious site with healing waters. The Lakshmi Narayan temple ( aka Birla Mandir ) is also a short walk from CP VILLA.

Another highlight of our location is the proximity to Gole Market, one of New Delhi’s oldest surviving colonial markets and an architecturally significant structure. Built by Edwin Lutyens in 1921, the dodecagonal market was part of New Delhi’s layout plan. You can find a variety of shops, eateries, and services that cater to the daily needs of the locals and visitors. You can also admire the heritage buildings and monuments that surround the market, such as the Laxminarayan Temple, the Parliament, Museum, and the Sacred Heart Cathedral.

Rooms

We offer spacious and cozy rooms with air conditioning/heater, a flat-screen TV (Netflix, youtube premium, prime video etc), a kettle with tea and coffee sachets, a private bathroom, free toiletries and a working desk. Each room also  has a private a private patio (private external area attached to the room) where you can relax and enjoy the sunlight and fresh air. You can also use our free and fast Wi-Fi to stay connected with your friends and family. Our check-in time is from 12:30 noon and check-out time is max 11:00 am.
The Property also offers day booking rates from 12:30 till 6:00 pm. You will need to contact the property for the same.

We provide early check-in ( from 7:30 am ) also if the current guest checks out early. We need about 40 min to clean the room. The property has a lounge area where the guests can wait and relax if they are arriving early or if they need to relax after check-out. The lounge has wifi and a rest room. Guests  can also leave their luggage with us and roam the city as per their need.

Food and other Facilities

We serve delicious vegetarian breakfast consisting of Eggs, Poha, Upma and Paratha along with tea and coffee as per order \ Menu. The breakfast timing is from 8:30 am till 10:30 am. The property has a small café for Tea, Coffee, Maggi, Cutlets, French fries etc. You can also order from various apps like swiggy etc. There are also many restaurants at a walking distance if you feel like tasting local cuisines. We do not serve lunch or dinners as most guests prefer to go out or order from outside or through apps. We can also assist in ordering from Restaurants.
